Mycotic Results: Positive

Just picked up my mycotic exams and I tested positive for dermatophytes trichophyton rubrum (athletes foot). I feel odd about feeling happy because I have fungi, but I that’s exactly how I’m feeling, happy and relieved. Fungi can be treated!

I finished my Itracornazole treatment, Hands are 98% clear, feet still have some bubbles on the sides, but itch less and look much better. I’ll see what the doc says on Thursday

Clear of blisters for the past month 🙂 Life is so much better.
The mycotic exam was done from scales of skin of my blisters. They ripped some dead skin with tweezers, then they kept them in the lab for 3weeks-1 month to see how they reacted.

The lab recommended to me was one that specialized in fungi.

    Thank you for the information.
I am currently troubled with dyshidrotic eczema.
    Does topical antifungal helps too?
My doctor only gave me clobetasol propionate.
Do you mind sharing the lab or doctor maybe may help me too.

Hey Manny, sorry, it was in Argentina, I’m guessing you must have something closer. Clobetasol P had absolutely no effect over my DE. I told my dermatologist I suspected it was a mycotic infection (I wanted her to prescribe me Itracornazole, which I suspected was the responsible of making DE go away the first time), we did the tests, it turned out positive, I got my Itracornazole (200mg) treatment and some antimicotic creams after the blisters had started going away.

Hey Martin, no I haven’t but I’ve emailed with Carole and my DE has no reaction whatsoever to gluten, which is one of the signs of candida if I didn’t understand incorrectly.
